  • Conference 'Radical Thinking and Truth' - 2026

Initiated by the Protestant Faculty of Theology in Brussels (FPTR) in collaboration with the University of Pretoria, the five-year international project Radical Thinking and the Concept of Truth brings together academics and church representatives to explore how our understanding of “truth” shapes dialogue, faith, and community. The project seeks to counter growing polarisation by bridging theory and practice—uniting theological research with the lived experience of church communities worldwide.

The next conference will take place on 22–23 April 2026 at the Faculty of Theology, University of Pretoria (South Africa), and is open to both in-person and online participants. Over two days of lectures, discussions, and collaborative sessions, the event will deepen understanding of how truth claims relate to radical thinking and outline the next steps for the project’s global network.
